The Austin Chapter of AGC is proud to serve as the flagship for Construction Veterans Reducing Suicide (CVRS) — a peer-based mental health advocacy program created by veterans, for veterans in construction. Born out of the National AGC Construction Mental Health & Suicide Prevention Task Force, CVRS empowers military veterans working in the trades to become trained liaisons and advocates for suicide prevention on the jobsite.

Thanks to local legal support from Peckar & Abramson, the 501(c)(3) nonprofit status is nearly finalized, and momentum is building. The Austin pilot chapter will set the standard for a national rollout, with boots-on-the-ground training and support already underway.
