Job Description
The Sr. Controller is responsible for overseeing financial statements, invoices, accounts payable and accounts receivable, etc. Some of the duties of the Sr. Controller include but are not limited to the following:
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate leadership abilities to effectively manage and work within a team culture.
- Demonstrate exceptional written & oral communication skills and polished interpersonal skills.
- Represent the company to the financial community, including financial institutions and auditors.
- Manage the financial risk of the company, including oversite of purchasing practices/policies, financial reports, tax and audit functions.
- Management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities for the company including proper filing of all local, state and federal reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Work with the company owner to develop a range of financial plans and revenue forecast.
- Supervise, mentor and develop payroll/admin staff (Assistant Controller/ Office Administrator).
- Ensure adequate controls are installed and that substantiating documentation is approved and available.
- Work closely with Project Managers and Assistant Controller to prepare and submit monthly billing
- Weekly office payroll.
- Oversee weekly union payroll.
- Reconcile all bank statementsand monthly financial reports.
- Prepare timely and complete monthly financial statements and other reports to summarize and interpret current and projected financial position for the owner of the company.
- Oversee staff to approve invoicesthat need to be paid.
- Read and review any documentation attached to checks for approval and accuracy sake.
- Oversee staff on follow up with customersthat have receivables that are over 65 days due.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly salesand use tax returns.
Requirements:
Decision making and multi tasking skills
Experience dealing with client issues, banks and financial institutions
Experience with Senior Management to ensure financial directives are followed
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Previous experience using Structure Blue Accounting Software is a plus

Must have a public accounting foundation and at least five years of direct construction industry experience in the assistant controller or controller role. Will work closely with the Director of Financial Operations on all facets of accounting and financial management of the company as well as direct interface with all other executive team members. Construction Project Staff Accountant

Job Duties:
Champion with corporate accounting to ensure project dates are reported accurately so costs can be reported to facilities on a timely basis
Provide final project cost reconciliation on all projects to ensure project cost complete
Monitor subcontractor contracts and commitments
Assist with job cost accounting, including processing AIA billing, lien waivers, accounts payable and accounts receivable and project change orders.
Help ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures and owner/general contractor agreements
Provide prompt and accurate customer service in response to requests for information from all corporate departments and other field operations
Review project bid budgets including cost schedules and translate these bid budgets into working field hour budgets.
Visit job sites and interact with field personnel
Weekly monitoring budgets with comparison to actual field hours.
Help field personnel to stay within those budgets—communicating any variances to upper management, and re-budgeting or re-forecasting as necessary
Qualifications:
Be proficient in PC based applications such as Excel with experience in Sage 100 a plus.
Have the ability to prioritize, multitask, adapt, and respond effectively in a dynamic work environment.
Possess good management and organizational skills including the ability to work on several projects simultaneously, meet critical deadlines, and determine the priority of assignments based on deadlines that must be met.
Maintain confidentiality of pertinent company data.
Work cohesively with other departments and co-workers as part of a team.
Construction experience required.
Good solid interpersonal skills.

We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate who demonstrates initiative that can help us meet our goals by keeping our office running smoothly and interacting with our Equipment Yard staff (located in Andover, MA) and Field crews (located at various job sites). Successful candidate to start immediately or as soon as possible to allow for training.
Job Duties:
Preparing weekly Payroll
Processing Union Benefits (weekly & monthly)
Evaluating cash balances and bank reconciliations (daily)
Managing Accounts Payable and Receivables

Qualifications:

Controller / CFO

The Controller/CFO will have extensive experience in cost control, cash flow control, and financial reporting and will tightly monitor the financial progress of projects. The CFO will also manage administrative matters including insurance, subcontracts, and Human Resources.
The role will partner directly with the President of the business and be a key member of the executive team. My client is looking for a finance leader who can train and develop the existing accounting team.
Job Duties:
Oversee HR functions and participate in health benefit renewals
Assist in Administration of 401k retirement plan
Assist in yearly renewal of business insurance programs, as well as preparing for audit of business insurance programs
Produce monthly financial statements
Coordinate quarterly accounting reviews, annual audits and tax returns
Maintain state registrations, business and tax licenses, etc.
Develop and maintain the system of internal accounting controls and financial reporting
