Committees


 

 

Committees are vital to the success of our CFMA chapter.  Members can volunteer in a variety of ways within CFMA.  This is a great way for you to get to know other members within the association.  Time commitments vary by committee, but most meet once a month or quarter for about an hour.  They are fun and informative meetings.

Finance Committee

Committee Chair: Mike Hoey, mhoey@consigli.com

Members: Sean Killgoar, Brian Reid

Responsibilities:

Provide financial analysis & statements, pay bills, ensure our (sponsorships/memberships, etc.) billings are paid, deposit funds, oversee the organization’s budget, reconcile cash, and ensure the organization is operating with the financial resources it needs to provide programs and services to the Chapter.

 

Membership Committee

Members: Brian Tengberg, Greg Steele, Nick Kritikos

Responsibilities:

Encourage people to join who fit well with the organization, develop/onboard new members, and assist and retain existing members. Develop plans to ensure members are engaged and that the organization’s offerings are meeting or exceeding member expectations. Coordinate with other industry Associations such as ABC, Surety Association, etc. to develop cross-pollination of members.

 

Program/Education Committee

Responsibilities:

Organize and coordinate educational seminars and networking events, including planning events, locations, costs, etc.

 

Sponsorship Committee

Responsibilities:

Build, develop and maintain sponsor relationships for the chapter sponsorship and event sponsorship opportunities.

 

Technology Committee

Committee Chair: Greg Kirshe, gkirshe@aktion.com

Members: 

Responsibilities:

Identify and utilize the newest and latest technologies in the industry that would streamline communication for our chapter and present the chapter in a positive way. Ensure website and social media sites remain up to date with assistance from our chapter admin.

 

Golf Committee

Committee Chair: Greg Steele, gsteele@constructionriskpartners.com

Members: Jon Elder, Brian Reid, Corey McCusker, Joe Burkett, John Hastings, Joe Mahoney, Rob Callahan

Responsibilities:

Organize the chapter’s annual Golf outing, including getting sponsorships for raffles and prizes and coordinating registration, assist teams, plan competitions for prizes, beverages, and dining.

 

Scholarship & Selection Committee

Responsibilities:

Manage the scholarship program. This committee reviews scholarship applications, produces marketing materials, and presents scholarships at a membership meeting.

 

Emerging Leader / Next Gen Committee

Members:

Responsibilities:

Plan events for members who are next generation leaders to encourage further participation in the chapter through committee involvement and other leadership opportunities. Also, potentially building relationships with local Colleges/Universities, etc. to bring awareness to the organization for the next generation of potential members.

 

Charity Committee

Responsibilities:

Identify potential charitable opportunities and build ongoing relationships with charitable organizations.

 

Historic Committee

Members:

Responsibilities:

Maintain and preserve historical records of the chapter and relevant information for the industry. Organize member of the year accolades/awards, record and recognize past Presidents / chapter leaders and chapter accomplishments.
