1. When did you become a CFMA member?
Longtime participant with CFMA through past employers like FMI, but a recent individual member (2022).
2. How did you get into accounting?
[My] MBA from Emory University opened my eyes to the complexity of finance in business and industry.
3. What career advice would you give to your 18-year-old self?
Do not worry about being a specialist or generalist, follow your interest. You will eventually become an impactful industry generalist later in your career by having been a specialist who deeply studies and understands the relationship of that specialty with industry adjacencies, functions and stakeholders.

5. What is one thing you have to have with you in meetings?
A clear head.
6. What have you learned about being a leader?
With employees, listen and offer the benefit of the doubt. With clients, listen, earn trust, be impactful, otherwise don't show up.
7. What is something you can never over-invest in?
Family time and memories
8. What is something that you learned recently that impressed you or blew your mind?
Shark population - 1 billion! We have barely explored the oceans.
9. Do you have any regrets?
No. Don't live with regrets, learn from missteps and do better.
