2020 Scholarship Recipients

CFMA of Massachusetts 2020 Scholarship Recipients

Please join us in congratulating the following 2020 CFMA of Massachusetts Scholarship recipients on their outstanding personal and scholastic achievements:
 
Jamie Driscoll, University of Southern California 
 
Jamie is entering her senior year at USC in Los Angeles, CA. She is a double major in Economics and Organizational Leadership and Management. Jamie is heavily involved with extracurricular activities within the USC community, including the Economics Honors Society, First Generation Student Union, Society of Leadership and Success, and Economics Associations, all while maintaining a very impressive GPA.  Leveraging her experience, Jamie has interned with Eversource Energy, USC Viterbi School of Engineering, That’s It, and Draper and Kramer Corporation.
 
Chris Flannery, Northeastern University 
 
Chris is a rising sophomore at Northeastern University, in Boston, MA, where he is majoring in accounting. Chris is a Lynnfield native, an avid hockey player and mentor to young sports enthusiasts. Last summer, he completed a co-op with the Marr Companies in the accounting department and plans to continue to broaden his professional experience in the future. We’re hoping he sticks to construction! Chris knocked it out of the park in his first year academic-wise.    
 
Lydia Masse, Worcester Polytechnic Institute
 
Lydia is a rising junior at WPI in Worcester, MA, where she is majoring in Biomedical Engineering. Aside from her high marks in the classroom, Lydia is very involved with extracurricular activities at WPI including the Animal Welfare Society, Pre-Health Society, and Art and Design Club. Last summer, she interned at the Plymouth Grating Laboratory and is looking to continue to put her engineering expertise to good use in the future.  When she has some free time, she is an avid runner.
 
Lilly Sheppard, Quinnipiac University 
 
Lilly is entering her freshman year at Quinnipiac College in Hamden, CT, with a double major in Marketing and Finance. She recently finished a very impressive high school career at Bridgewater-Raynham High School, where she was a member of the Varsity Field Hockey and Winter and Spring Track teams. She was also a four year member of DECA, which prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management.

Matthew Smith, Wentworth Institute of Technology

Matthew is a rising senior at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, MA, where he is majoring in Construction Management.  Matthew has already amassed a highly impressive resume in the construction field alongside his strong GPA at WIT, working for Thrasher Construction, MAS Building and Bridge, and most recently, as a Project Engineer Intern with New England Construction. He is also a member of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA). In his spare time, he is an avid hockey player and officiates youth and high school hockey games.
