Partner

Sean Killgoar is a partner in Citrin Cooperman’s Braintree, Massachusetts, office with over 18 years of experience in the accounting industry. He has a specialization in the construction industry, working with contractors and suppliers.  He works with a range of closely held businesses ranging from start-ups to businesses with over $1 billion dollars in annual revenues.

Previously, Sean was a partner at KAF, which joined Citrin Cooperman in 2016. Sean’s technical expertise and relationships in the construction industry allow him to work as a trusted advisor for his clients on many aspects of the business beyond the traditional audit and tax compliance work.  He consults with clients on almost every aspect of their business strategy including job profitability, bonding capacity, equipment and labor burden rate analyses, implementation of compensation plans, construction specific tax planning,  managing working capital, and succession planning.

PRESENTATIONS AND PUBLICATIONS

Sean has presented at various events hosted by the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA), the Institute of Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (ICCIFP), and specifically, at the National Business Summit for the Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC). He has also written articles on the topic of construction accounting and taxation.

Sean is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA). He is also a board member of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA).

EDUCATION & LICENSES

Sean earned a B.S. in Accounting from Stonehill College and an M.S. in Taxation from Suffolk University. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Massachusetts. He also holds a designation as a Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP).

Director

Conor Flanagan is a tax director in Citrin Cooperman’s Boston Metro office with 13 years of experience. He specializes in accounting method changes and corporate tax structure. Conor mainly works with companies in the construction industry, advising general contractors and sub-contractors with a focus on pass-through entities. He provides corporate and individual tax expertise to his clients, and oversees and mentors the staff of the firm to help develop their skills. Conor also has a history of audit experience, giving him a well-rounded approach to client needs.

Conor is an avid sports fan, enjoys spending time with his family, and staying active .

Conor earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Saint Anselm College and is a Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
