Description

As construction companies increasingly embrace digital transformation in areas such as design, project management, and collaboration and mobile technologies, they increase their exposure to cybersecurity risk. Design software, project collaboration platforms, drones, internet-of-things technologies, and autonomous and robotic technologies are all susceptible to attacks, and the financial and reputational costs due to such attacks can be significant, especially for small and midsize entities. From outsourcing business and employment functions to third-party vendors and insider threats, construction executives should be paying attention to cyber threats, developing their cybersecurity program, and preparing for cybersecurity breaches. In this session, we will review current cyber threats facing the construction industry and provide practical advice on preparing for, and responding to, such threats.
