Health Insurance is now the second largest expense for US businesses and growing fast. Companies and their employees are faced with only unpleasant options—pay higher premiums or cut benefits to keep premiums the same. But what if there were other ways to tackle the growing cost of health insurance? What if you could actually CUT health insurance costs and deliver savings of $1,000 per employee per year? A self-insured health plan allows employers to have more financial control over their group health plan, as opposed to a traditional fully-insured plan with high premiums and a use-it or lose-it philosophy. When you self-fund, you only pay for the claims your group incurs. Self-funding is utilized by two thirds of all employers in the United States and continues to grow because of the flexibility and potential for savings. This presentation will help you learn about how self-funding can work for you.
